My Fitness and Nutrition Journey…
Goals provide direction and drive productivity. I created short term, mid-range, and long term goals. My long term fitness goal is to achieve consistent flexibility, strength and cardio levels. My long term nutrition goal is to eat a healthy and balanced selection of foods with moderation.
My mid-range goals focuses on decreasing the amount of ‘non-muscular’ mass or cellulite in my thighs. It pains me to use the word ‘cellulite’. Managing cellulite is a beastly challenge for me. If I could target just my thighs, it would be an easier feat. Given my excess fat solely resides in my thighs, I am to maintain a consistent weight level as I burn thigh fat and improve muscular definition. When I was college, I weighed 158 lbs. Over the years, my weight level has fluctuated. Over the last 5 years, my weight has stabilized around 135 lbs. This part of my journey has been most challenging. Every day, I focus on eating well multiple times a day and being consistent with my workout regiment.
In January 2022, I may have experience what some describe as the whoosh effect. My thighs looked watery. It was an odd appearance and experience. I continued my workout regiment of cardio and strength training. My mid-range goal is evolving as I better understand my body.
My short term goals simply are to sustain my daily fitness schedule and mindfully manage my daily food intake to achieve sustained long term success.
I haven’t always embraced my journey. At times, I have felt like giving up. Life has taught me that I am perfectly imperfect and to enjoy my life with all its imperfections and challenges!
I try my best to take care of my body because it’s the only one I have.
I share my lessons learned in my blog.
